Robert White studied trumpet at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. From there he went into the world of freelance orchestral, pop and session music. He then studied various ethnic instruments and traditions and now plays and writes music for over 50 instruments in all musical styles.

His work includes theatre, TV and film for the BBC (TV and Radio), ITV, Channel 4, Royal National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, English Shakespeare Company, British Actors Theatre Company, Farnham Rep, Bolton Rep, The Crucible Theatre (Sheffield), The Bush Theatre, The Young Vic Theatre, The Gate and The Kings Head (London). Also the West End play Same old Moon.

Robert has recently performed on "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Shipping News".  He is also a founder member of The New Scorpion Band and Give Me Your Hand.
